Yeah, after three weeks of marriage, I can say it is awesome. I am praising God over and over for His wondrous mercy in my life. I cannot believe how things have worked out to glorify God in my life and in the life of my wife. Although I will update more on here later about different things I think you should check out Darleen and my website here for the most up-to-date info about us and our journeys toward that country that God continues to put an overwhelming burden on our hearts, Ireland. Praise God for His wondrous mercy.

Christmas Eve

Yeah, it is Christmas Eve. That time of year again. I wanted to make a post before this year slipped away into fading memory. Naturally, of course, this year will be one that will always hold a bright spot in my memory as I am so happy to spend this Christmas with the love of my life, my little Darling. Yeah, that girl that has a way of brightening up my life every time she walks into the room. As you can well tell she is pretty special to me.

But I did want to wish all those that I miss on the west coast, my family and friends, a merry Christmas as well. You all remain often in my prayers and dreams as I remember the past Christmas' we shared together. May God bless you all as you seek Him this Christmas season, as you remember the reason for His coming to this earth. How precious it is that Divinity took upon flesh for us. Wow, how could we ever fathom that?!

My Wild Irish Rose

Yeah I have been busy obviously with the blatant neglect of this blog, but it has been an awesome time observing the blessing of the Lord. But with all the things that have been going on one person has taken priority over them all. The girl that has blessed and changed me more than I could ever imagine. It has been such a pleasure to get to know and learn to love Darleen. I can well say that there are few guys in the world as blessed as I am.

Since she has come into my life she has added a whole new dimension of God's love to me. Her missionary zeal and love for God impresses me more every day. There is a dying and bleeding world out there that requires a huge measure of spiritual warfare, and there is no guy luckier than I to have her by my side in that fight.

I have been away from her for a time while I have been back here in California wrapping up my work here for a time. But I am looking forward to tomorrow night when I get to see her again. God has called us with a high calling are we willing to take hold of what is precious and see the hand of God. Some times I have doubted His abilities but every day with Darleen proves God is not dead and He is not silent.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive."

Ireland the Emerald Isle

Ireland, the Emerald Isle across the sea, I find it hard to find the words to express my feeling on the matter. Ireland, a land gripped by the hand of Satan who will not make it easy on those that attempt to snatch souls from his grip. Ireland is a closing field as the European Union would like to close the door on missions to this land forever. We are given a brief moment in history to come to the aide of the struggling Irish church to ensure that there Irish at the throne of grace. Satan would love to destroy this growing church and slam the door on all hope for this land. We must come to the assistance of men like Joseph and John faceless to you but real Irish men who are prepared to make the sacrifices necessary to save their fellow Irishmen. These are men who have given their lives for the cause of Christ. In the face of such dedication we in America must ask ourselves if we are willing pay the price to come their aide. After spending a month traveling this land I have been convinced of one thing and that is it will not be easy to come their assistance. Many things face us; challenges that would be easy for us to give up in the face of. The question that faces us now is who will come to Ireland’s aide for Christ’s sake?

What a trip I was so blessed to travel all over seeing various missions and seeing the many sights. But few of the experiences were as much of a blessing as meeting the growing number of Irish believers. They are true and genuine folk, and it was a pleasure to work with them even for a brief time. Since my call ten years ago I have prayed and prayed hard for this land and it was such a blessing to see the people I have prayed for. I didn’t know them they didn’t know me, but some how we were united in the work of Christ.

An Irish cry:

“Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Ireland Update

God is so faithful. There is little that I can do but praise His holy name. Things have been going very well here in Ireland and that is largely due to your support in prayers. Keep it up.

I had the opportunity to spend some time with the Cross family in Limerick. They are faithful servants of God there facing a great need. Limerick is a very beautiful area situated on the beautiful Shannon river but Satan has a firm grip on that area. It will take much prayer for the work of God to be firmly established there.

Since then I have traveled down to Cork city to join in the effort down there. I am currently observing the ministries of Craig Ledbetter and Ballincollig Bible Baptist Church. There is a growing number of strong believers here. That are dedicated to the work of the Lord. It is so encouraging. Many of these people I have been praying for since I have left and many of them including one Joseph Manley who has become such a faithful servant of God.

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"

Phil. 1:6

We must continue in the way that God leads us no matter what the cost. In the end He will pave the way to success with His blood. This work that we have to do is His and we must do it in His way.

"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ,"

Ireland

All of the believers have a call to serve the Lord and reach out to the lost. We all have a call to reach the lost. As I have a special call to reach the lost of Ireland. We must preach otherwise they will not hear. Preaching is absolutely necessary because it says in the Word of God,

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"

Romans 10:14-15

We Christians must not forget our duty the lost are depending on the work of God in our lives. The Holy Ghost was given to us for this cause let us not forget those who would fall if we do not come to their add. The midnight is past, the turning of the tide has come. Come let us join in the victory of our Christ.

As I leave for Ireland I am purposed in what the Lord has planned to do through me there, but my heart is with a certain young lady, whose prayers I know I have. Please join in with her in prayer for the work that God has planned. Thank you all for you kind words and comments. God bless you all.

Praise God for His faithfulness in spite of our lack of faith. There has been many a time when I have failed to have the faith necessary but God has worked it out for His glory and my good irregardless of my failures. Reciently was an instance where God did this for me. He has blessed me beyond words by bringing into my life the most wonderful girl ever. The likes of which I do not deserve. On June 24th 2008 I asked her to court me to the which she kindly replied yes. She has already blessed my life beyond words. Showing me the goodness of God in a way I have never known. She is a woman of the highest integrety and one that desires to serve God in a way that is far above many I have known. Her character and beauty are united in one making for a true Proverbs 31 woman. You may be wondering who she and where she comes; she is Darleen Holly Waltman of Tennessee.

"When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Yeah Disneyland

Life has been busy as of late but thanks to Emily there was a quick interruption and a trip to Disneyland. She had been wanting to go and encouraged all of us get some days off. I being one that abuse my days am completely out by this time of year, but there was one opportunity as I needed to take a comp day for working over time another day. It ended up we were all off and we could all go as a family last Friday. It was a blast and a lot of fun to be with the family or what it left of it. Here are some pictures of some of the highlights.

Sometimes you can tell people by the quality of the things they spend time around. Ok I hope that is not true.

Mr. Smith the man that got us in for free asked us if we put the boys in red shirts so mum and dad wouldn't lose us. Mr. Smith was very kind and Emily gave him a bag of cookies for his kindness. I am not sure if that would have bought any old family a trip to Disneyland these days.

There was some excitement over the new drivers license but thankfully there was first aid on hand in case anything went wrong.

Yeah like I was saying about being under the watchful eye of a calm and collected older brother.

A little wet after the rapids ride. It was actually a lot of fun.

Bros for ever.

Recently I preached on the sermon on the mount. A great passage or any new preacher, but a challenging one. Here is a bit of it.

"And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you."

Memorial Day

Memorial Day, a day that we remember those that have made the ultimate sacrifice for us throughout our nation's history. The Sunday after leading a church service at an older folk's home I had the privilege of talking with a veteran of Iwo Jima. I took the opportunity to thank him for his service to all of us. It is all to often that we forget what has been done for us by so many that have died in the past. They sacrificed their lives, their time, and their blood so we can enjoy the freedom we have. We must uphold, now matter how hard, that standard that they have raised.

My memorial day started early and lasted long. It was certainly an enjoyable time of fellowship. A number of us young guys stayed the night at the church so we could claim the picnic area for the day as well as clean up the ruminates of the previous day's party.

Our objective at 5:30 in the morning. Not the cleanest I assure you. :)

Some of us were a little more eager to get work than others.

In reality theses guys helped out a bunch with clean up so all is fair in the end.

In true Warnerite tradition we proceeded to play base ball for the morning. I assure you it was a lot of fun and I was glad that my nose stayed intact through the entirety of the game. Every one did a great job playing their best through the game.

Myself looking a little forlorn or maybe just tired.

What would a memorial day be without a little Ultimate Frisbee.

After all the day at the park I decided to get some ice cream for all the teachers afterwards that served this year in SWORD. It has been long hard year through which they have worked unrelentingly faithfully serving the Lord and the children of the church. Naturally a mafia game broke eventually. I had a tough time that game. I was completely lost I guess I am getting rusty at reading people.

It seems as if the girls faired better than the...

...the guys but who am I to judge. :)

I have been thinking a lot lately about the faithfulness of God. So often it is hard to remember that He is in control in every way. We must remember that He will guide us no matter what our fear may be at the dawning of a new day. He is the ultimate protector and provider. Several of our young men are going to Alaska today. Please remember in your prayers, James Iorga, Kyle and Andrew Stevens, and my brother Stephen Weston. They are facing big challenges and we know by God's grace that they are up to them.
